Lake Charles, Louisiana: Lee Mallett, Mallett Buildings, and Veterans from the Southwest Louisiana Veterans home grabbed their tackle boxes for a fun filled morning on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019. Lee Mallett and Mallett Buildings hosted the first of many “Fun for Veterans” event. Gumbo, boudin, and a helping hand were served.
The veterans were brought out to three fully stocked ponds to fish. The ponds were filled with catfish and more.
Lee Mallett, owner of Mallett Buildings, said the event was a great way to give back to those who fought for our freedom, “Our freedoms are because of men like these who fought. I feel good about them coming out here and doing what little I can to make them feel good. We owe everything we’ve got to them.”
Mallett Buildings has more “Fun for Veteran” fishing and activity days planned for the future!
